Welcome to the Sauk County Comprehensive Planning website! The theme for the Sauk County Comprehensive Plan is ‘Positioning Sauk County for the Future’ by addressing economic, social and environmental issues from a variety of perspectives. The goals of the planning process include the following:

• Increase awareness of the relationships among diverse realms of public policy at the sub-county (local), county, multi-county, and regional scales;

• Facilitate the efficient use of resources and the provision of public services as they relate to the nine required elements of the Comprehensive Plan;

• Recognize Sauk County’s unique attributes, as well as those of its individual communities, and identify action strategies that invite collaboration with county agencies, regional resources and service providers.
