Peter Murray

Peter Murray has been a resident of Sauk County since 2000. He currently serves on the Excelsior Township Comprehensive Planning Committee, and in 2004 was appointed by the Governor to the Wisconsin Council on Invasive Species which he continues to chair. He also serves on the Forestry Invasives Leadership Team which is a committee of the Wisconsin Forestry Council. He is a co-founder of Neighborly a free clothing store for patrons of the Baraboo Food Pantry.

He has more than 40 years experience in strategic and business planning and financial administration work in major retail companies including Target Stores, Federated Department Stores, and Famous Footwear, and manufacturing companies including General Electric and General Mills. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Minneapolis YMCA, and advisor to the Finance Committee of the Board of Education of the Cincinnati Public Schools, and a member of the board of Oakland Family Services, Pontiac, MI.
